What is Clarus Gen1?
Clarus Gen1 is the first-generation eye-misting eyewear, with an integrated, non-folding frame and a quick-release reservoir. It delivers fine mist near the eyes while worn, using the specified sodium-hyaluronate misting solution. Its distinctive wraparound appearance offers a different design choice from the foldable Gen2.

Gen1 has a more pronounced wraparound profile and keeps its full frame shape when stored. A sample review should cover individual fit, storage space, and how the quick-release reservoir is fitted and refitted.
Misting in an eyewear format
The eyewear format leaves the hands free for stationary activities such as seated reading and desk work. Review fit, visibility and individual mist sensation on the actual unit, and follow the supplied instructions.
The specified companion liquid contains sodium hyaluronate. This does not establish compatibility with arbitrary eye drops, contact-lens solutions or other liquids.

Does Gen1 fold?
No. Gen1 has an integrated, non-folding frame. If compact storage is a priority, start with the foldable Gen2.
Is the core function different from Gen2?
Both are eye-misting eyewear used with the specified companion solution. The confirmed differences here concern frame appearance, folding and reservoir structure; they do not establish a difference in clinical efficacy.
Can I use Gen2 videos or brochures to assess Gen1?
The current real-device video and downloadable brochures are labeled Gen2. Use the Gen1 illustrations on this page for its appearance, and ask Tony about the current Gen1 configuration before arranging a sample.
